Dr. Nicole Sopp is a native of Savannah, GA and graduate of the University of Georgia. She completed her doctorate at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL and a Primary Care / Ocular Disease Residency at the Wm. Jennings Bryan Dorn VA Medical Center in Columbia, SC. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and of the Scleral Lens Education Society. She began her professional career on faculty at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine until moving to Boston with her husband in 2014. While in Boston, she served as a Lead Optometrist in the Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates healthcare system.
Dr. Sopp has extensive experience in a comanagement clinical setting with optometry and ophthalmology. She specializes in prescribing customized eyeglasses and contact lenses to maximize vision. She is also a specialist in the fitting of specialty contact lenses, including scleral lenses, for diseased and injured corneas. She also has immense experience in cataract post-operative care.
Dr. Sopp is thrilled to be back practicing in the Lowcountry. When not in the office she enjoys spending time with her husband, Brian, son, Bennett, and daughters, Austyn and Vienna as well as cheering on the DAWGS!
