Dr. Jane Kokinakis is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist performing cataract surgery for over 20 years. She is a graduate of Michigan State University where she also completed her residency at the Grand Rapids campus. Dr. Kokinakis specializes in the diagnosis, medical and surgical treatments of all ocular disorders including glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, retinal disease, cataracts, and ophthalmic plastic surgery. She is dedicated throughout the pre-operative and post-operative experience, building long-lasting relationships with her patients and creating an environment of trust and personalized care. Passionate about technological advancement in cataract surgery, Dr. Kokinakis has helped to bring new innovation and tools to her practice such as the ARGOS Biometer and iLux device for dry eye. She is also now offering the newest lenses in cataract surgery such as the AcrySof® IQ Vivity™ IOL.
Dr. Kokinakis was the recipient of the Judith K. Weiswasser Memorial Award for outstanding academic, professional and personal woman graduate of Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1996. She is a frequent academic lecturer at the University.
Dr. Kokinakis was a Board Member for the American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology and administered the written and oral Ophthalmology National Board Exams. She is also a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the American Osteopathic Association.
